Southern Region VI Highlights This region as part of the Cal/WARN offers water and wastewater agencies to come together to help each other in times of crisis. Region VI covers a specific geographic area within the state, and agencies there can both receive assistance and provide help during emergencies or disasters.  This page and its content are voluntarily maintained by the Southern Region members of CalWARN.   Emergency Response Network of the Inland Empire (ERNIE) ERNIE is dedicated to enhancing emergency preparedness and response, particularly in the Inland Empire. We aim to ensure a coordinated and effective approach in case of major disasters, which could range from natural, man-made disasters to large – scale emergencies. The inclusion of the ERNIE Cybersecurity Working Group also shows we recognize the importance of digital infrastructure and security in disaster response, especially in today’s world where cyberattacks can be just as damaging as physical ones.   Water Agency Emergency Collaborative (WAEC) The Water Agency Emergency Collaborative (WAEC) is a regional group that brings together member agency representatives and regional partners to discuss emergency preparedness issues and increase readiness to respond.
